Jennifer N. Johnson

Jennifer Johnson has been involved in Georgia Law for over 16 years, first as a court clerk and more recently as the owner of JNJohnson Law, LLC in Kennesaw. While at the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, she had the opportunity to work on some unique cases, including Elian Gonzalez, Terry Schiavo, and the 2000 presidential election.

Jennifer decided to join the team at Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor to focus on her clients rather than running a business. “Mary has a terrific reputation in the community,” Jennifer commented. “I wanted to be a part of the best family law team in Cobb County.”

Jennifer’s clients describe her as very service oriented, approachable and protective of their interests, but ready to fight when required. “My clients always know where they stand, so they feel like they have some control in what can be such an emotional experience,” she added.

Jennifer stays abreast of the issues affecting lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) individuals and their families, and leverages that experience when assisting with name changes, partnership agreements, break-ups, child custody and adoptions. She has also received training from the National Institute for Domestic Partner Estate Planning.

When she is not practicing law, Jennifer spends her free time working on a major ongoing home remodeling project, or just enjoying the thrill of the roller coasters at regional theme parks. She also volunteers at The Cobb Justice Foundation, providing free legal aid to low income families.
