A Georgia native, Michaela knew that she wanted to be a Family Law attorney since childhood. “I remember my brother’s adoption, and how I wanted to help other families streamline what can be a very complex process,” Michaela commented. After looking at several firms, Michaela was immediately drawn to Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor due to the congeniality of the attorney team. “We share experiences and advice, ultimately improving our ability to serve our clients,” she added.

Clients describe Michaela as personable, attentive, and assertive. She is a problem solver, taking a proactive approach to overcoming obstacles and resolving issues in support of her clients’ goals. Michaela understands that mediation and settlement are in the best interests of the parents and children, but will aggressively pursue all options when needed.

Michaela is active in local sports, including softball and tennis, and is an avid yoga practitioner. Michaela volunteers with a dog rescue program in Macon, and is trying to start a similar program in Atlanta. She is also active in the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers.
